Baker King, Kim Tak Goo has grown stronger and stronger since debuting in early June, with higher ratings in each passing week. Powered by a strong story and excellent acting, it most recently achieved a series-high rating of 44.4%, elevating it into the status of being a national drama, and also becoming the highest rated drama in 2010 thus far.

Baker King is peaking nicely at the moment with 12 episodes to go, and its unlikely that it will lose much ground unless something drastic happens. The best bet would be to edge out MBC’s Road No.1, which is currently floundering, although it will face another challenge from MBC’s idol drama Playful Kiss from September 1st on, as it stars Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min.
There are some good signs though, as Lee Seung Gi’s drama OST track is doing well on charts after it’s release this past week. With Shin Min Ah’s CF star status, and Lee Seung Gi’s reputation as a ratings king, it will be interesting to see the outcome next week!
