The return of Kim Joon Posted

The oft overlooked fourth member of the F4, Kim Joon will make his comeback in the drama tentatively titled “The Love of Pygmalion.” The Kdrama is a joint venture between Japanese and Korean production companies for Japanese mobile channel BeeTV. Filming has just wrapped in Korea and the drama is set to debut on the 20th of March.

After the immense success of Boys Over Flowers, Joon had his choice of roles, but none appealed to him until this role came along. He plays the lead role of Kim Hyung Joon (which happens to be his real name) while Japanese actress Minamisawa Nao is Mika, his love interest. The story follows Mika, who loses all memories of her lover Hyung Joon.

Other than being the lead, the role might also have appealed to Joon because it was directed by Kim Yeon Cheol whose most famous work was the legendary My Name is Kim Sam Soon. Kim Joon was quoted as saying that he was “happy to work with director Kim Yoon Cheol whom I admired” and that he “learned a lot as an actor” from him. Also starring in the drama, is eccentric model/actor Kim Jae Wook who starred in The 1st Shop of the Coffee Prince and the movie Antique.
