For the second season of the hit drama “IRIS,” Jung Woo-sung (The Good, the Bad, and the Strange) and Cha Seung-won (City Hall) are casted. Who’s who? Can’t you guess?
Jung Woo-sung will play the role of Lee Jung-woo, who works in the special forces of the national intelligence agency. As the most capable person in the unit, Jung Woo-sung’s character will have a fight with destiny over a plot of destruction. An explosive story will unfold between Jung Woo-sung and Cha Seung-won, who is the leader of the terrorist organization, “Athena.”
The new season of “IRIS” is changing its name to “Athena (Goddess of War).” The second season will be more of a spin-off of the first, with the new cast. Now, fans are all wondering, who will take Kim Tae-hee’s place? For now, they’re still deciding.
“Athena” will start filming this coming June in Italy and Switzerland. Spanning over 6 countries, including Singapore and New Zealand, “IRIS 2″ is looking to be on a much greater scale than its first season.
