Jang Geun Suk & Han Ye Seul are the Best Dressed Celebrities

According to online fashion site (atzine.com), actor Jang Geun Suk and actress Han Ye Seul are the best dressed celebrities.

This poll was held from the 14th to the 17th and the two received the most votes from a poll of 800 people, naming them '2009's Best Dressers.'

Jang Geun Suk came in at first by taking 44% of the votes. He played the role of a celebrity in his hit SBS drama, 'You're Beautiful,' and thanks to this role, he was able to be dressed in quite fashionable attire that was loved by viewers. His Hwang Tae Kyung outfits even started a fashion trend in Korea and he has been dubbed as 'Wan-Pan-Nam' (완판남), meaning that his fashion has become a hit.

Following Jang Geun Suk, Kang Dong came in at 2nd with 28% of the votes, Kim Hyun Joong in 3rd with 18%, Lee Minho in 4th with 7%, Gong Yoo in 5th with 2%, and Ji Hyun Woo in 6th with 1%.

For the females, Han Ye Seul won 'Best Dresser' thanks to her simple yet glamorous red carpet looks. She beat Yoon Eun Hye for first with 33% of the votes, but by only 3%. In third was Seo In Young with 13% of the votes, Kim Ha Neul in 4th with 10%, Ha Ji Won in 5th with 7%, and Park Shin Hye in 6th with 1%.

Jung Yong Hwa is getting a taste of stardom

Actor and singer Jung Yong Hwa is starting to realize his success as a celebrity due to the increase in love calls he has been receiving lately.

More people are starting to recognize this pretty boy by his real name, Jung Yong Hwa, rather than by his You're Beautiful character's name, Shinwoo. Jung Yong Hwa is in high demand to attend several award ceremonies. He has already attended the Golden Disk Awards on the 10th and the 2009 Melon Music Awards on the 16th.

With his rock band C.N. Blue awaiting their debut in 2010, Jung Yong Hwa has already been garnering much interest due to the love of his fans.

The young cast of God of Study

New posters are out featuring the young cast of KBS’s God of Study, aka the kdrama adaptation of Japan’s Dragon Zakura.

The story kicks off when a teacher begins a university prep course with five underperforming students at a high school that is in last place in the academic standings. Leading the group of five students is Yoo Seung-ho as a stubborn and rebellious troublemaker. The group is rounded out by (in order of the cast photo above) Lee Chan-ho, Ji-yeon, Go Ah-sung, and Lee Hyun-woo.

That’s a pretty solid young cast, not to mention the older generation featuring Bae Doo-na and Kim Su-ro.

In addition to Yoo Seung-ho’s troublemaker, we have:

Go Ah-sung, 17. She was tagged as an up-and-comer to watch in the horror film The Host, and also had roles in Happy Life and Radio Days. Her character is a sincere and honest type who lacks perseverance.

Lee Hyun-woo has great charm and comic delivery, and at 16 years old, he has already had roles in numerous dramas like Queen Seon-deok, Return of Iljimae (he was Cha-dol), Great King Sejong, Lobbyist, and Legend. His character dreams of being an idol singer.

Meanwhile, Ji-yeon, 16, is probably most known for being in girl group T-ara, but she was also featured in horror drama Hon (Soul) earlier this year and did, I thought, a pretty good job; she seems to have a good affinity for the camera. Her character is peaceful and easygoing, though she lacks a sense of purpose.

Lee Chan-ho, 20, is the eldest of the bunch and appeared with Yoo Seung-ho, 16, in Fourth Period Murder Mystery, as well as the teen comedy film Our High School E.T.. His character is a timid type who doesn’t assert himself.

I’m a little less certain of the director (PD Yoo Hyun-ki) and writer (Yoon Kyung-ah), both of whom have mostly Drama City productions on their resumes. The writer’s two entries date back to 2003 and 2006. That doesn’t mean I think they’ll be bad, but that they are somewhat unknown entities. (I would say that being an adaptation of a Japanese drama gives them a leg up in terms of story material, but I’m sure we can all point to cases where that didn’t quite work out.)

God of Study will air on KBS Mondays and Tuesdays. Perhaps hoping to recreate Boys Before Flowers’s youth appeal, it premieres almost exactly one year after it, on January 4.

Personal trainer for SNSD clarifies, “Daily diet intake is not 800kcal, but 1200kcal!”

“So Nyeo Shi Dae’s diet intake is 1200kcal and not 800kcal”

Recently, So Nyeo Shi Dae members’ diet was revealed on MBC ‘VJ Special Behind Story’, and many were shocked to find that the members take in about 800kcal a day.

But the celebrity specialty personal trainer A Team representative Kim JiHoon trainer came out to say, “Broadcast shows tend to exaggerate.”

It is known that the members take in 1200kcal and 6 main nutrients according to the metabolism rate. And when the girls are preparing for concert and also doing exercise, the reduction in intake will not be as much.

And it is revealed that exercise and others is the key to prevent the yo-yo effect rather than controlled diet.

For member Yuri who has been praised by netizens to have a healthy shape has a metabolism rate of 1150kcal and so she takes in 1200kcal per day. divided over 4~5 meals.

Kim SooChang trainer and Kim JiHoon representative would change the members’ diet and body design every day. And the girls have been quite burnt out over the preparation of their Asian concert and also for performances on various award ceremonies lately.

For their concert, the girls have to wear belly T and also various bodyline-showing clothes, and member Yuri will receive body design training everyday for that. Kim JiHoon representative has chosen boxing training for Yuri so that she can get her sexy and charismatic image and features for the concert.

It is revealed that the other members’ diet is similar to Yuri’s – consisting of Sweet potatoes, bananas, bell tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, chicken breast meat, certain nuts, milk and soy milk.

SNSD overwhelmed with emotions after first concert

SNSD opened their first ever Asia tour concert on the 19th, after 2 years and 5 months since their debut. As expected, the girls were overjoyed.

During their press conference on the 20th, prior to their second concert performance, the members expressed their feelings.

Tiffany:
"I am so happy. A concert was a wish of all 9 members, and we were able to have one so quickly, we are so happy. We received so much this year, it feels like a dream."

Taeyeon:
"After our rehearsals, I was concerned if we could fill out a concert hall, but at yesterday's opening, the entire concert hall was filled. It was so intriguing. This year because of Gee, we received so much love. We were able to have our first concert and even at the year end award shows, we received good results. We are highly anticipating next year as well and we want to finish off 2009 on a positive note."

Sooyoung:
"With Christmas and New Years here, we prepared a concert that would be family friendly. We made it so that moms and dads would be able to enjoy it as well as know the songs, to lessen the age gap."

Jessica, who was the most emotional during the concert stated:
"Because it was our first concert, there was so much going on in my mind. I had so much eye contact with the fans and that just made me so emotional. I tried holding it in as much as possible, but in the end tears kept flowing. Also, my mom was in the audience and I couldn't resist crying when I saw her as well."

Shin Ae is forever sober after marriage

Anyone recall the virtual marriage of Shin Ae - Alex (AlShin couple) on MBC We Got Married last year? If you do, you'd probably remember how happily-in-love those two acted on screen. But do you think Shin Ae's happy now after getting married for real? Let's see what she has to say.

On KBS 2TV Entertainment Relay, aired on the 19th, actors and actresses joined together for a quick interview to celebrate actress / model Kim Ah Joong's very first fan meeting. Out of surprise, Shin Ae complained, "After getting married, my husband won't let me drink." After hearing her words, Kim Ah Joong asked the husband himself, "For what reason are you not letting her drink?"

Hm, so I guess Shin Ae isn't so happy after all with the whole drinking ban - but of course, I'm sure her husband gives her enough happiness to cover that.
