The first official poster is out for action-noir blockbuster Invincible, which stars Joo Jin-mo, Song Seung-heon, Kim Kang-woo, and Jo Han-seon. The tagline reads, “Brothers who meet as enemies, friends who team up through loyalty.” That refers to the fact that Joo and Song are partners involved in illegal arms trade, while Kim plays a cop who’s also Joo’s younger brother.
What do you think — are they less cheesy than the character stills? (I’d say yes on the whole, but Song Seung-heon’s lollipop smirk still makes me laugh. Also — do mine eyes deceive me, or has somebody Photoshopped the lollipop stick badly near his mouth?)
This A Better Tomorrow remake touts a 10 billion won production budget and includes involvement from four countries (Korea, Japan, Thailand, and China). It will release in theaters in September, in time for the busy Chuseok holiday.

Kim Seung Woo and Kim So Yeon won viewers over when they starred together in the drama IRIS, and news was released today that they might both be returning to the sequel, Athena. It looks like Kim Seung Woo’s return is confirmed, but Kim So Yeon’s role is yet to be finalized.
The drama’s production company said, “Kim So Yeon’s role is still in discussion.”
The company said earlier today that her role was confirmed. Then, her company announced, “We never confirmed anything.”
There is a clear divide between the two companies, so let’s hope it gets solved soon.

BoA will be transforming as an actress through appearing in an upcoming major Hollywood movie.
The movie is set in New York and is a dance movie directed by Duane Adler, who also did movies like ‘Step Up’ and ‘Save The Last Dance’. It is known that while he was writing the movie scenario, Duane Adler had already written with BoA in mind as one of the cast to the movie.
The producer to the movie will famous producer Robert Cort who produced over 55 movies which include ‘Jumanji’ and ‘Runaway Bride’. Cort and Adler are known to have worked together before in ‘Save The Last Dance’.
BoA will be the main female lead to the movie, showing off various new and powerful dance performances.
Meanwhile, the filming of the movie will kick in early next year in the States. And for the time being, BoA will be coming back with her 6th Korean album ‘Hurricane Venus’ and promoting the album in Korea.

Earlier today at 6PM, the Wonder Girls took the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia and put on quite a show!
In front of an audience of about 15,000 people, the five girls gave an outstanding performance of a number of their songs. They opened up their performance with I Wanna and Goodbye and also performed a rock version of their hit song 2 Different Tears as well as Nobody. While the audience cheered the Wonder Girls throughout the show, it was reported that especially during their performance of Nobody, the audience excitedly sang along to their song.
In response to the Wonder Girls performance, a MTV network Asia representative stated, “Now that the Wonder Girls have gone international, they truly have the potential and charm to be the representatives for Asian pop music.” And it only seemed like yesterday that they came out with their debut track Irony.

We all know that 2AM’s Jo Kwon is the kkap king on variety shows but it appears that someone is waiting in the wings to take over from him.
On the recent Quiz That Changes The World episode that aired on August 1st, INFINITE’s maknae, Sungjong laid down the challenge to Jo Kwon with a dance cover of T-ara’s I Go Crazy Because of You. It was certainly a worthy kkap version of T-ara’s dance and the reactions from Jo Kwon and the other guests were priceless. Jo Kwon didn’t just lie down without a fight as he danced to a kkap version of miss A’s Bad Girl Good Girl and a little of Two of Us for Chae Yeon who was also a guest.
